Building control requested some structural calculations and clarification on a few technical points on my build so I called Paul. He was really helpful. He turned up punctually and liaised with the building inspector on site. He suggested a simpler design then the one they initially wanted saving a lot of unnecessary work. Afterwards he produced the report with calculations and drawings promptly. I instructed Paul to carry out the steel calculations for a loft conversion and single story rear extension. Paul came to site at short notice to look at the proposed works.  In the initial meeting Paul offered practical advise with great attention to detail.  The following week Paul came back with the calculations and drawings as agreed, which were well presented and understandable. Paul answered all my queries and gave further advise on how the steel should be installed , which was a great help to my building team. We needed structural calculations and advice on our kitchen extension project. Paul’s experience allowed an improved design along with clear and accurate drawings – many thanks Paul.

After we were let down big by our builder regarding a side double extension in that the extension was built but the builder had not completed the foundations to drawings and were not adequate so we could not get it signed off with inspector. Builder left us in this state not wanting anything to do with it. So we were left with a extension that could not get passed off by building control. Only option was looking like a complete knock down and rebuild.
